Stainless steel reinforcement has become a very attractive option for reinforced concrete structures owing to its distinctive properties including outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent fire behaviour, long life cycle as well low maintenance requirements. Additionally, stainless offers exceptional ductility and strain hardening characteristics compared with other common materials, which are desirable in design avoid sudden collapse. However, most global standards do not incorporate an appropriate approach members steel. The substantial of typically represented standardised material models therefore this characteristic is exploited resulting structural economic inefficiencies. Hence, the aim paper propose validate new deformation-based beams based on continuous strength method, reference current rules provided Eurocode 2.
